Mount Zion supper
An old-fashioned supper is scheduled from 4 till 8 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 15772 N.C. 50 North in the Cleveland community. The menu will offer fried chicken, barbecued pork, ham, chicken with pastry, hot dogs, fatback, streak-o'-lean, chitterlings, collards, potatoes, green beans, hushpuppies, biscuits and desserts, including cakes, pies and banana pudding. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 4-12. Kids 3 and younger eat free. The church is a quarter-mile south of the intersection of highways 50 and 42.
Family worship service

Fish fry Friday
A fish fry is scheduled from 4 till 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 4057 U.S. 70 Business West between Clayton and Smithfield. The cost is $6 per plate and includes fried fish, seasoned boiled potatoes, hush puppies, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. A drive-through will be available. For more information, call 934-2084.
Bible study
Bethesda Baptist Church will host the Beth Moore Bible study on the book of Daniel at 5:45 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 24). This is the first of the two-part study. Country breakfast
A country breakfast is scheduled from 7 till 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 5312 Meadowbrook Road in the Meadow community. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.
Women on the Move
Women on the Move for PEACE will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, March 5, at Faith International Community Church, 109 N. 3rd St., Smithfield. Fellowship. Dr. Wanda Robinson-Lee, an evangelist, will speak. A retired educator, she volunteers at Smithfield Manor rest home and Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield. Admission is free. Galilee Church
A musical program is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 2017 Galilee Road, Smithfield. The following will perform: the Gray's Creek Gospel Choir of Hope Mills, the male choir from First Missionary Baptist Church in Clayton, the male choir from Good Samaritan Baptist Church and the mass choir from Devine Worship Ministries in Fayetteville. Refreshments will follow the program.
