First Missionary

A Women's Day service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at First Missionary Baptist Church at the corner of Lombard and Stallings streets in Clayton.

Minister Valerie Lassiter, formerly of Clayton, will speak.

Family fun night

Trinity United Methodist Church in Garner has scheduled a back-to-school family fun night from 6:30 till 7 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 18) at the church's Kid's Clubhouse, 10525 Cleveland Road, Garner.

Trial sermon

Floyd Ennis "E.J." Sanders Jr. will preach his trial sermon at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at Deliverance Cathedral of Love, 1705 Curtis Drive, Raleigh. Sanders is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sanders and Cynthia Rowe Sanders of Smithfield. He is a rising sophomore at the new Cleveland High School.

Youth event

First Baptist Church of Fuquay-Varina has scheduled a youth extravaganza at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, and 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22.

The event's theme is "A Renewed Strength," and will include choirs, dance teams, mime groups and more. Elder Xavien Harrison of Truth Tabernacle Ministry in Rocky Mount will speak. The church is located at 105 N. West St., Fuquay-Varina. For more information, call 919 552-9150.
