Denise Nowell joins Garner Chamber

Denise Nowell has been named director of member services for the Garner Chamber of Commerce. Nowell had been assisting the chamber on a temporary basis and now joins the organization as a staff member.

As member services director, Nowell will be responsible for designing and starting programs, events and services for members to help them make the most of chamber membership.

Nowell has experience in sales, event planning and guest services. She most recently worked for Novant Health at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Her previous work experience includes positions with the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, Xpressley Bookkeeping and SunLife Sunrooms and Spas.

Nowell graduated from High Point University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and management.

Reared in the Philippines, Nowell speaks two Filipino languages and has had opportunities to return as a tour guide and interpreter.

"We're very pleased that Denise has decided to join us as a Chamber staff member," said Neal Padgett, chamber president. "Her personal touch and attention to detail will greatly benefit our member services."
