Advanced Metal Roofing has good reason to feel proud this month.
In the spirit of this giving season, the Clayton branch of the metal roofing company has donated an Energy Star-rated MetalMan Roofing System to a home-building project for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. The Habitat house is at 125 Johnson St. in Garner.
Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, or Habitat Wake, is an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical housing ministry. The mission of Habitat Wake is to build safe, affordable homes for qualified homebuyers regardless of race, religion or background. Habitat provides financial-literacy education for homebuyers and workshops in home maintenance.
Homebuyer families, sponsors, donors, and volunteers come together with Habitat Wake to build homes that help transition families out of poverty housing, providing new opportunities and space to grow with a sense of security and with good neighbors.
Advanced Metal Roofing specializes in installing highly durable, energy-efficient and low-maintenance metal roofing systems for homes throughout the Carolinas, Massachusetts, Maine and a growing number of service areas in the United States. The company's donation of an Energy Star-rated roofing system complies with Habitat's commitment to green building. This commitment is designed to ensure that new homes improve indoor air quality and keep family energy bills low.
This is one of a number of donations from Advanced Metal Roofing to Habitat for Humanity in North Carolina. Previous donations were made to Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity. This is the first time Advanced Metal Roofing has donated its exclusive MetalMan Roofing System for a Habitat project.
"We are extremely proud to be associated with an organization working on the local level to bring about positive change in the housing industry, one family at a time," said James Kenton, owner of Advanced Metal Roofing. "Habitat Wake is committed to bringing communities, families and businesses together to provide life-changing opportunities for everyone involved. We strongly support their mission and their work."
