Music off Main

Here is the 2013 lineup for the Music Off Main concert series in downtown Garner:

May 9 – country singer Amanda Daughtry.

June 6 – rockabilly artist MikeMickXer.

June 20 – Top 40 group The Band Heartbeat.

Aug. 15 – dance band Honey.

Sep. 19 – bluegrass band Old Habits.

Concerts will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on the back lawn of the Garner Performing Arts Center, 125 Avery St., Garner. Bring chairs or a blanket; food and beverages will be available for purchase. For more information, visit www.downtowngarner.com/musicoffmain.htm.

Extreme juggling in Garner

Comedian and juggler Mark Nizer will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Garner Performing Arts Center, 742 W. Garner Road, Garner. He has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Hope, George Burns, John Byner, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles and Barry Manilow. The cost is $15 per person. Auditions in Garner

Auditions for Disney’s “Mulan Junior” are scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, May 6-7, at the Garner Performing Arts Center, 742 W. Garner Road, Garner. Auditions are open to young people ages 12-18. For singing roles, actors should prepare to sing 16 bars of their choice of music. Rehearsals are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays starting Monday, July 8. For more information, visit www.garnerperformingartscenter.com.
