Hinton Edgerton, 17, and his mother, Kathi Nixon are performing 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at First Presbyterian Church, 215 S. Third St., Smithfield. Their performance is part of the The annual music for the lunch bunch series.

Lunch bunch concert

The next music for the lunch bunch performance is 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at First Presbyterian Church, 215 S. Third St., Smithfield. Kathi Nixon and her children will perform.

Nixon, an English and drama teacher at Corinth Holder High School, plays guitar and sings. Nixon’s son, Hinton Edgerton,17, a senior at Corinth Holders High School, also plays fiddle and mandolin and sings. Nixon’s daughter, Georgia Kate Edgerton, 14, a sophomore at Corinth Holders High School, plays the mandolin and sings.

Pianist Jonathan Levin will perform Wednesday, June 26.

The series of summer concerts is 12:15 p.m. Wednesdays throughout the summer. Local artists will perform a variety of music, with particular emphasis on classical music. For information, call 919-938-0306, or visit jcartscouncil.org.
