Shredding event

Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Garner will host a professional document destruction and indoor yard sale 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 28 at 2100 Buffaloe Road. All contributions will go to Garner area Christian ministries. For more information, call 919-662-5493.

Harvest America

Aversboro Road Baptist Church will be a host church for the simulcast of Greg Laurie’s Harvest America on Sept. 28-29. Featuring performances by top Christian artists such as Mercyme, Kirk Franklin and Jeremy Camp and a message by Laurie, Harvest America is a live nationwide event, streamed to thousands of participating locations across the country.

Indoor yard sale

An indoor yard sale will be held from 7 a.m. to noon, Sept. 28 by Lord of Life Lutheran Church at 2100 Buffaloe Road, Garner. Proceeds will go to Outreach Ministries. For more information, call 919-772-9044.

A capella concert

The Master’s Men, an all-male a capella ensemble, will be in concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29 at Saint Andrews United Methodist, 1201 Maxwell Drive, Raleigh. The public is welcome at this free concert. For more information, visit www.mastersmen.org or call the church at 919-772-4410.

Church bazaar

Broken Wing Fellowship will host a Super Saturday Church Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5. Everything on sale will be handmade. The church is located at 3236 Highway 50, Garner. For more information, call 919-427-4479.

Lowcountry Country Boil

Saint Andrews United Methodist Church will host a Lowcountry Boil at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 5. The meal will include shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and hushpuppies. Dinner will be served family style. Tickets are $25 each and must be purchased in advance by calling the church office at 919-772-4410 or emailing saumcgarner@bellsouth.net. Children enjoy a free hotdog meal with each paying adult. St. Andrews is located at 1201 Maxwell Drive, Raleigh.

Yard sale

Church in the Woods will hold a community church yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at Garner Church of Christ. 1364 Benson Road, Garner. Proceeds will benefit Church in the Woods. For more information, visit www.churchinthewoods.net.

Vendors needed

Mount Zion United Methodist Church invites all vendors to its annual Christmas bazaar to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in the fellowship hall and chapel. Vendors will be able to display and sell artwork, jewelry, crafts and holiday gifts. There will be a snack bar with breakfast and lunch items, drinks, snacks and desserts. Support groups
