Trunk-or-Treat

A Trunk-or-Treat and Chili Cook-Off will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1433 Aversboro Road, Garner. Oktoberfest

Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2920 N.C. 42 W., Clayton, will host an Oktoberfest celebration from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The celebration will include a bounce house, live music, face painting, games and more. German meals with brats and sauerkraut will be available for $10, dine-in or takeout. All proceeds raised will go to the Holy Cross Youth and I-Choose Pregnancy Support Services in Clayton.

Holyweenie Roast

Sharon Baptist Church, 116 Britt St., Smithfield, will host a children’s “Holyweenie Roast” at 6 p.m. Oct. 30. Costumes and parents are welcome. For more information, call 919-934-8845.

Trunk or Treat

Aversboro Road Baptist Church, 1600 Aversboro Road, Garner, will host a Trunk or Treat event from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31. The event will include hot dogs, popcorn, games, inflatables, a live band, candy and more. For more information, call 919-779-0434.

Christmas bazaar

A Christmas bazaar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 15772 N.C. 50 N., Garner. Vendors will sell jewelry, metal art, quilts, crystal lighted trees, plants, gift baskets, homemade food and more. There will be a snack bar with breakfast and lunch items. Fundraiser

Surviving the Holidays

“Surviving the Holidays” will take place from 9-11:30 a.m. Nov. 16 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3414 M. Shiloh Road, Garner. This one-day event will help those who have lost a loved one face the holidays with hope and joy. Light refreshments will be served, and childcare is available upon request. Support groups

Bible studies
