Mrs. David Bradley Jernigan

Lesley Vann Warren and David Bradley Jernigan, both of Wilmington, were married on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at half after four o’clock in the afternoon at Winter Park Baptist Church in Wilmington.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lundie Lewis Warren, Jr. of Wilmington. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis Gray, Jr. of Kinston and Mr. and Mrs. Lundie Lewis Warren, Sr. of Clinton.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Wayne Jernigan of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Macon Grissom, Sr. of Garner and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Hannibal Jernigan of Goldsboro.

Lindsay Warren Campbell, sister of the bride of Cary, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Taylor Flowers Bowen of Ayden and Briley Virginia Hussey of Raleigh, cousins of the bride, Jennifer Michelle Booher, Brittany Nicole Donovan, and Lauren Brady Hines, all of Wilmington. Blair Wallace Campbell and Barrett Katherine Campbell of Cary, nieces of the bride, served as the flower girls.

Phillip Wayne Jernigan, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Michael Robert Baker of Raleigh, Daniel Jackson Ellis of Holly Springs, Kyle Norman Hines of Wilmington, Christopher Douglas Johnson of Cary, and William Taylor Stanley of Columbia, South Carolina. Brody Warren Campbell of Cary, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer.

The Rev. Eric Shelton Porterfield officiated. Music was provided by Melody Bryan, organist, and Briley Virginia Hussey, soloist. Jennifer Wayne Burnett presided at the guest register. Allyson Lake Flowers, cousin of the bride, and Phyllis Jernigan Laughlin, sister of the groom, were program attendants. Susan Mitchell directed the wedding.

A reception at Pine Valley Country Club was hosted by the bride’s parents following the service. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dewayne Sellers and Mr. and Mrs. William Howard Stanley. Music was provided by The Embers featuring Craig Woolard. The parents of the groom entertained the wedding party and family at Oceanic following the rehearsal on Friday evening. A luncheon honoring the bride and her attendants hosted by the bride’s grandmother, Alice Jean Gray, and her aunts, Nancy Gray Askew, Johni Gray Hussey and Allyson Gray Edwards, was held at The Pilot House. The couple was given several showers by friends and family.

The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a teacher with New Hanover County Schools. The groom is a graduate of North Carolina State University. He is an Accounting Manager with Murphy-Brown LLC in Rose Hill.

After a wedding trip to Saint Lucia, the couple will make their home in Wilmington.
