Summer’s Coming

Christ United Methodist Church will hold a Summer’s Coming celebration from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at 1082 Amelia Church Road, Clayton. There will be ice cream and games at the event. Call 919-553-9770 for more information.

Blood drive

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at St. Mary’s Church, 1008 Vandora Springs Road, Garner. Call 919-772-6738 for appointments or walk-in.

Gospel night

Oliver’s Grove Baptist will hold a southern gospel concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, at 8715 U.S. 301, Four Oaks. Heaven’s Way, a local group, will perform. Admission is free and a silent cake auction will be held. Proceeds will benefit the 9th annual Vision Walk in Raleigh June 7. Call 919-963-2282 for more information.

Summer schedule

Christ United Methodist Church will kick off its new summer schedule June 1 with coffee, fruit and juice at 9:45 a.m., and a worship service at 10 a.m. at 1082 Amelia Church Road, Clayton. Support groups

•  Shiloh Baptist Church hosts GriefShare, DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids support groups at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at 3414 N. Shiloh Road, Garner. Bible studies

•  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosts a New Testament Bible study at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at 1433 Aversboro Road, Garner. The group is ongoing. For more information, visit mormonbiblestudy.wordpress.com.

•  Men’s Bible study of Johnston County continues a verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of St. Matthew 7-8:30 p.m. Mondays at First Baptist Church, 202 S. Fourth St., Smithfield. This study group runs through May. Visit www.mbsjohnstoncounty.com.
