Why Mount Olive? “The coaches were great from Day 1. My dad having played there for four years played a big part for me.”

Major: Business

Notable: Saylon pitched, played the infield and outfield for Garner. He was 3-3 with a 2.58 ERA as a senior on the mound. He throws a fastball, change-up and curveball. … At Mount Olive, he will fill a utility role, possibly pitching and playing anywhere on the field. … He wants to add size and strength before he takes on his career as a Trojan in green instead of blue. … “I’m just fortunate to have been a part of a team like this and that’s what I’ll always remember about playing here,” he said. “There was a chemistry here that I’ve never felt with other teams.”
